SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) – A Milwaukee man made a preliminary appearance in Sheboygan County Court this week after leading police on a high speed chase through the city of Sheboygan. Charles Tyranne was arrested last Wednesday after court documents say he crashed his SUV near the Shaw Family Playground and took off running.
Court documents say an officer saw a black Tahoe leave a gas station and blow through a red stop light. When the officer tried to pull him over, the Tahoe sped up, driving recklessly through the city.
When police searched the truck, they found marijuana and ziploc bags in the car.
Tyranne admitted to driving at over 80 miles per hour down Kohler Memorial Drive, and was afraid of being pulled over because his driving status had been suspended. Tyranne is facing up to 3 ½ years in prison if he’s found guilty.
