Monday’s COVID-19 update from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health indicates that 13,624 persons in Sheboygan County have now experienced the battle with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and 136 have lost that fight. Active cases on Monday were 137, 20 less than on Friday. Since that day, 15 new confirmed cases were added, while 27 recovered, and with no new casualties to report, a net change of 12 fewer active cases. No explanation was given for the discrepancy, aside from the customary note that there may be lags in confirmation cases that shows up in some of the data streams, and that two-week rates and trajectories give a more accurate picture of COVID-19 in the community. For Sheboygan County, that is a “High” activity level, with a burden of 204.3 cases per 100,000 persons and no significant change in trajectory.

The Centers for Disease Control along with the Food and Drug Administration have recommended that the use of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-10 Vaccine resume in Wisconsin.
