If, as some say, Wisconsin has two seasons, then winter should be well on its way out as the other season…construction season…is getting into high gear. And in Sheboygan that will involve a fairly substantial stretch of North Taylor Drive. That street between Saemann and North Avenues will undergo a resurfacing project that will take about a month to complete.
City Engineer Kevin Jump says that the busy street will remain open to traffic while the existing asphalt pavement is removed and replaced with a new surface, but will be restricted to one lane in each direction. Cross streets will remain open, but expect limited access when construction activities occur in the immediate area.
The city is asking for patience and cooperation and to slow down when traveling in the construction zone. Work begins on Monday, and is expected to last until mid-May.
