MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Brandon Woodruff gave up one run on three hits over six innings, but got a no-decision in the Brewers’ 3-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs in Milwaukee on Tuesday night.
Luis Urias belted a two-run homer in the second for the only Milwaukee runs.
Brent Suter surrendered a two-run homer to Wilson Contreras in the eighth to take the loss, as the Brewers saw their three-game winning streak end.
Pedro Strop picked up the win for the Cubs and Craig Kimbrel notched his third save.
The two teams will wrap up their three-game series Wednesday afternoon at American Family Field. Corbin Burnes is looking to pick up his first win of the season when he starts today for the Crew. The Cubs counter with Jake Arrieta.
