SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) – It’s Spring Election day throughout Wisconsin- and along with a race for the State School Superintendent, there are a lot of Sheboygan County races on the ballot.
Voters in the City of Sheboygan will decide whether they’ll keep Mayor Mike Vandersteen or replace him with Council President Ryan Sorensen. There are a number of council seats up for grabs in the city. Candidates in Sheboygan Falls are all unopposed in their race for seats on the council.
There are elections for the Sheboygan Area School Board, while a number of surrounding school districts also have school board seats to fill – including Elkhart Lake, Howards Grove, Cedar Grove, Kewaskum and Kiel. Voters in Howards Grove will tackle a 35 million dollar referendum to build a new middle school and make other improvements throughout the district.
There are races in surrounding communities for village president. Those races are in Cedar Grove, Elkhart Lake, Glenbeulah, Howards Grove, Kohler, Oostburg, Random Lake, Adell, Cascade, and Waldo.
