Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County is expanding by merging with a sister agency in Manitowoc County, creating a single organization called “Big Brothers Big Sisters WI Shoreline”. That announcement came on Monday from Denise Wittstock, the current Chief Executive Officer of the Sheboygan organization, who will head up the new, two-county agency.
The merger is expected to increase financial stability while reducing costs, making more funding available for Big-Little matches and supporting the organization’s long-term objective of serving all youth in need along the Wisconsin shoreline.
In announcing the merger, Wittstock said the new organization has a goal to serve at least 425 youth this year – a 42 percent increase.
Big Brothers Big Sisters WI Shoreline helps children realize their potential and build their futures through evidence based mentoring programs that match concerned volunteer mentors with children who need additional support and guidance.
