Margaret L. Erdmann, 87, was called to her heavenly Father Monday afternoon, March
29, 2021, surrounded by her family, shortly following the reading of Psalms 23, one of
her favorite Bible verses.
Margaret was born on June 28, 1933, the daughter of Clarence and Orela
(Wuestenhagen) Illig. She was raised and attended school in the Howards Grove area.
After spending many years raising her children and creating beautiful cakes for
weddings and other occasions, she obtained full time employment at Lake-to-Lake
Dairy, where she worked for many years as a payroll clerk. Following her retirement,
she worked part-time at Hardees restaurant, as an early morning baker, prior to retiring
permanently.
Margaret was a member of St. Mark Lutheran church. Her strong and unwavering faith
was an example for her close-knit family and a beacon for all who knew her. She was an
ardent Milwaukee Brewer fan and would follow every game on TV or radio (even spring
training). She also enjoyed needle crafts of all types and created many pieces of art that
will be held and cherished by her family. She donated countless knit hats and mittens to
those less fortunate. Whether making cakes or craftwork, she was a perfectionist.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Erdmann of Franklin, WI, Don (Carol) Erdmann of
Algoma, WI and David (Beth) Erdmann of Duluth MN and one daughter, Sandra (Dave)
Diedrich of Manitowoc WI. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanette (Myron) Wriedt

will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her sister and travel companion,
