Gale “Petie” Rautmann passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Born to Walter and Ann (Halle) Fiedler on July 31, 1939 in Plymouth. She attended St. John Lutheran School and Graduated from Plymouth High School in 1957.
She worked at Bordens in Plymouth. She married Glenn Rautmann (passed in 1995) on December 12, 1959 and moved to Sheboygan where they built a home in 1964. She joined Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and enjoyed doing the newsletter. She also volunteered for Bethesda for over 20 years.
Gale enjoyed doing craft shows, knitting, crocheting, sewing, scrap booking, loved stickers and actually enjoyed shoveling snow! She also enjoyed doing crosswords and computer games.
She is survived by her four great kids that helped prevent her from going to the nursing home. Bonnie (Michael) Breunig, Ricky Rautmann, Shelly Rautmann and Terri Rautmann, all of Sheboygan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, her parents, Walter and Ann Fiedler, and her in-laws Arno and Zerlina Rautmann.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing will be observed and masks will be required. A private family service will take place. Entombment will be in the Garden terrace Mausoleum.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support. And to Pastor Gugel for swinging by for communion at home.
