Governor Tony Evers on Tuesday announced that every Wisconsinite age 16 or over will be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination beginning Monday, April 5th. In making the announcement, the Governor expressed pride that Wisconsin is currently leading the country in vaccination efforts that he called “a massive undertaking”, and thanked those in public health, vaccinators, and staff to help make it possible.
The announcement added a cautionary note that, although everyone will be eligible on Monday, some areas of the state may have a higher demand for vaccinations and may have waitlists. Those looking to find a local vaccine provider were encouraged to visit https://vaccinefinder.org, or to call the toll-free vaccine hotline at 1-844-684-1064.
