The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County declined two in Tuesday’s daily report from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, with 148 cases currently being tracked. 7 of 66 tests received since Monday – just over 10% – were positive for COVID-19, while 9 persons recovered. Only one county resident is currently hospitalized, as two were discharged since yesterday. No deaths attributed to COVID-19 have been recorded in Sheboygan County since March 17th when the toll reached the current level of 133 deaths.
Wisconsin added another 588 cases of COVID-19, with the total now at 576,632 cases. 3,163 of tests were negative. Another 11 deaths were attributed to the coronavirus, raising the toll to 6,612. 65 more persons with the disease were admitted to hospitals for treatment, and after accounting for deaths and discharges, the patient population rose 23 to 250. 66 of those are in ICU beds, and 368 patients require ventilators for any reason. Some of those may be in use by the 22 patients still awaiting their test results.
