SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) – A Sheboygan man appears in Sheboygan County Court to be sentenced this morning for slamming his pickup truck into a snowbank in the city while drunk in 2019. Court documents say Kevin Oakley blew a .209 during a breath test hours after the crash in the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue.
Oakley told police he’d been drinking with an ex-girlfriend at a bar, dropped her off, and was trying to make his way home when he swerved to miss a cat and crashed. When he was asked to perform field sobriety tests, he told officers it was useless, because he was drunk.
Oakley is facing two felony charges relating to drunk driving – and could spend up to 6 years in prison.
