A well-known police motto is “To Serve and Protect,” but what’s not well-known is the broad scope of knowledge needed to live up to that motto. Young people in the Sheboygan area who are interested in a public safety profession will have the opportunity to find out exactly what it takes to do that job through the Sheboygan Public Safety Cadets Program, and that program begins with an informational meeting at 7 PM Tuesday, March 30th.
This is replacing the former Sheboygan Police Explorers Program and is a new, national non-profit organization founded and managed by active and retired law enforcement officers and business leaders. It’s designed to prepare young adults age 14 up until their 21st birthday who are interested in the profession.
Those with questions about the program can call the non-emergency number at 459-3333,
