Gail Cathryn (Boelter) Karstaedt, 59, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully surrounded by
family on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at her home.

If she could make someone’s life easier, she would give her time and energy to do so.
Gail was very active in her community and church. She volunteered at Sharon S. Richardson
Hospice in the Retail Store, helped connect many widowed women together to talk about their
lives after loss, taught Sunday school at St. Mark Lutheran and First United Lutheran. She was
also part of several professional groups including Financial Women International and Women in
Management. She also served as a Girl Scout leader.
One of Gail’s favorite things to do was spend time with her ‘grands’. She also enjoyed counted
cross stitch, embroidery, crochet, card making, and collecting nativities and angels. Gail also
loved working in her garden and enjoyed the peace of nature.
Gail will be missed by her husband of 36 years, Kyle; daughter, Anna Gail (Dan) Pittner; ‘grands’,
Vanessa, Rebecca, Roman, and Vivian; parents, Donald and Yvonne; brothers, Brian (Cece),
Edward (Monika), Rus (Michelle); sister, Amy (Joe) Corrao; several nieces and nephews and
grand nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Gail is preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Hildemar (Konkel)
Karstaedt.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021. Gail’s service will be
livestreamed from her obituary page on www.zimmerfuneralhome.com at 12:30 PM.
