Removing dying ash trees will require the City of Sheboygan to close a portion of North 3rd street this week. The closure, from Geele Avenue on the south to Blackstock Avenue on the north will involve the hours of 7:30 AM until 2:30 PM from now through Friday, March 19th.
City Forester Tim Bull says this is necessary in order for a safe operation. The program to manage the invasive Emerald Ash Borer affecting about 5,000 trees in the city began some 5 years ago.
