Eileen Jaeckels (nee Lensmire), age 87, of Cascade, passed away on March 15, 2021,
surrounded by her loving family at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Eileen was born on August 18, 1933 in the Town of Mitchell, Wisconsin a daughter to
the late Edward Lensmire Sr. and Blanche (Schefsky) Lensmire.
Eileen attended Payne School in the Town of Mitchell and graduated from Plymouth
High School in 1951.
On July 5, 1952 she married the love of her life, Alvin Jaeckels, at St. Michaels Catholic
Church in the Town of Mitchell. The couple resided in Cascade during the 57 years of
their married life. Alvin preceded her in death on June 15, 2010.
She worked at the West Bend Company for 3 years and worked for Clevepak Container
Corp. in Plymouth for 32 years retiring in 1995.
Eileen was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and was a
founding member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church Christian Mothers in Cascade.
Eileen enjoyed playing cards and traveling with her husband and family.
Survivors include: Six children: Patricia (Larry) Seitz of West Bend, Shirley (Randy)
Gilliam of Plymouth, Sue (Gary) Bimmel of Sheboygan Falls, David (Beth) Jaeckels of
Cascade, Debra (Ed) Maki of Plymouth, and Diane (Kurt) Adams of Plymouth; Fifteen
grandchildren: Vicki (Duane) Hayes, Jim (Heather) Seitz, Jenny (Corey) Kappers, Jackie
Gilliam, Jodi Gilliam, Mark (Tiffany) Bimmel, Marcia (Chad) Smith, Paul (Tiffany)
Bimmel, Todd (Heidi) Bimmel, Jason (Nikki) Jaeckels, Jena (Drew) Fritz, Jaclyn (Matt)
Murkley, Megan Maki, Kyle Adams, and Tanya Adams.
She is further survived by: 21 Great Grandchildren: Lucas Seitz, Abby and Kylah
Kappers, Michael (Fiancée: Liz Weavers), Nicholas and Matthew Bimmel, Gage, Link,
Waverly, Fairren, and Brixton Bimmel, Gavin, Kora, and Paxton Smith, Rowan Bimmel,
Kaleigh Gonzales, Ava and Ellison Jaeckels, Oliver and Emmett Fritz, and Myles
Murkley; Sister: Mary Dreifuerst; Sister-in-law: Rose Lensmire; and Brother-in-law:
Gordon (Mary) Becker; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many
friends.
Eileen was preceded in death by: Her husband; Twin great-grandsons: Finn and Carson
Bimmel; Three brothers: Robert (Leona) Lensmire, Edward (Sharon) Lensmire, Alan
Lensmire; Sister: Jean (Wayne) Kolpin; Brother-in-law: Gordon Dreifuerst; and Sister-in-
law: Arlene Becker.
A private family Mass of Christian Burial is being held. Cremation will follow the
services and Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Cascade.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorials in Eileen’s name to: Heart
of the Nation; Holy Hill Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians; or
Cascade First Responders.
