FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Volkswagen, the world’s No.2 carmaker, on Monday said it plans to build six battery cell production plants in Europe by 2030 to secure supply for its electric vehicle push.
The six plants, to be built in partnerships, will have a production capacity of 240 gigawatt hours per year, the company said during its Power Day.
