David J. “Dave” Marten, age 71, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday (March 11, 2021) at Azura
Memory Care in Sheboygan, following a courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease and Dementia.
He was born in Sheboygan Falls on August 11, 1949, a son of the late Edwin and Irene (Tauber) Marten.
Dave attended Dye Road School and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1967.
On August 28, 1971, he married Jackie Price. In 1971, he also started his business and was the proud
owner of Dave Marten Construction.
He served on the Town of Lima Planning Commission for many years, and was also an active member of
the Lakeshore Apartment Association.
Dave enjoyed snowmobiling, and was active in the 5 Corners Snowmobile Club and the NKM
Snowmobile Association. He also enjoyed racing, driving the infield push truck for the Plymouth Dirt
Track Racing for many years, and spending time with his cousin Terry Marten talking racing and B.S.
Survivors include: Wife of 49 years: Jackie; Daughter: Angela Dulmes (special friend: Brian Rautmann);
Son: Gary (Joelean) Marten; Grandchildren: Aden and Crystal Dulmes; Brother: Wayne Marten; Brothers
and Sisters-in-law: Mary (Curly) Hogue, Jim (Vicki) Price, and Maury (Suzy) Price.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and father and mother-in-law: Maurice and Veda May Price.
Following Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be NO SERVICES OR VISITATION.
Inurnment will be in the Waldo Cemetery.
