Two school districts in Sheboygan County will be asking for approval to borrow a total of over $55 million during the April 6th spring election.
The Kohler School District will have two questions on the ballot. The first asks for thumbs-up or down on borrowing not more than $17,550,000 to expand the career and technical education areas, build more space for academics, add classrooms and a library, update current classrooms, and for improvements to HVAC, safety, security and other improvements. The second question seeks approval of $2,590,000 for construction and improvements to outdoor athletics facilities and site improvement.
And the Howards Grove School district would like to build a new Middle School and install a new HVAC system at Northview Elementary, while at the High School a new secure entrance, roof and boiler are up for approval…that request totals $35 million.
