With the 2-week averages showing a decline in the burden rate from 183.4 last week, to 157.2 per 100,000 persons this week, the trend wasn’t considered significant and the Sheboygan County Activity level remained “High”.
At the same time, the daily update from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health added 10 more cases of COVID-19, for a total of 13,006 so far. With 8 recoveries since Tuesday the active case count was up by two, to 133. The 10 positives constitute 12% of all tests. With one additional person hospitalized, the county’s COVID-19 patient population is 7.
516 more Wisconsinites in all received positive test results in the last day, and the running total from the Department of Health Services is now 567,850, while the positive test rate was 11%. 14 deaths since Tuesday raise the toll to 6,524, and 76 more persons were hospitalized. 10 fewer hospitalizations for the disease were logged by the Wisconsin Hospitals Association on Wednesday, and the patient population stands at 234, 63 of those in ICU beds. 374 patients in all are ventilated at this time; some of those may be among the 26 patients still awaiting test results.
