There was no change in the county’s patient population, at 4. With 74 test results received in all, the positive test rate was 13.5%.
The State of Wisconsin overall has been experiencing steadily declining figures as a rule, as exemplified by the data for hospitalizations. Regionally, the number of COVID-19 patients in Southeastern Wisconsin has declined to 114, the lowest since the last week in July of 2020. 57 more patients were admitted statewide since Thursday, but the patient population was down 5 to 257 after accounting for deaths and discharges. 76 are in ICU beds. 374 ventilators are in use, some likely helping a portion of the 77 patients awaiting their COVID-19 test results. There were 7 more casualties that pushed the toll up to 6,477. 350 new cases of the coronavirus have put the running total at 566,158.
20 locations in Sheboygan County are being observed with facility-wide investigations. 3 of those are long-term care facilities, 1 is a group housing facility. 6 workplace investigations are underway, and 10 education investigations are being conducted.
