WEST LAFAYETTE, IN (WHBL) — The Wisconsin Badgers came close but couldn’t get the job done in West Lafayette on Tuesday night, falling 73-69 to Purdue.
The Badgers were outscored in the paint 36-20 as Purdue’s 7′ 4″ freshman center Zach Edey had 21 points and seven rebounds.
Wisconsin hit their first three 3-pointers but then went 4-26 the rest of the way. Brad Davison had 15 to lead Wisconsin. Nate Reuvers, Aleem Ford and Micah Potter had 11 and D’Mitrick Trice added 10.
Wisconsin has lost four of its last five games. The Badgers are now 16-10, 10-9 in the Big Ten, and they close out the regular season at Iowa on Sunday. Pregame coverage on WHBL starts at 10:30am.
