The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sheboygan County as reported by the Division of Public Health was up to 150 today, equal to levels seen in mid-February. 48 of 234 test results received since Friday were positive, yielding a 20.5% rate. The increase of 6 active cases came as 42 more recovered. 12,914 persons in all have experienced COVID-19 in Sheboygan County since the pandemic arrived in the state a year ago, and 128 have lost their lives to it. Six persons are currently hospitalized while fighting the disease.
In the same span of time as since the County’s last report on Friday, Wisconsin added 1,461 new cases. 308 of those were added Monday as 3,134 tests in all were received – around a 10% positive return rate. No new deaths were added on Monday, and the toll stands at 6,412. 31 more persons were hospitalized, and after accounting for deaths and discharges, the patient population was down by 3 to 287, 73 of those in ICU beds. 353 patients in all are on ventilators, likely including at least some of the 44 patients still awaiting their test results.
