SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – While daily figures have illustrated a steady decline in the incidence of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County, the 2-week trajectories have been advanced as a better indicator of trends. That being the case, the change in 2-week activity and trajectories in Sheboygan County is encouraging. After spending most of the last 3-4 months in the “Very High” or “Critically High” range of activity, we are now in a “High” level of COVID-19 activity. The case burden is 225.3 per 100,000 population, and the trajectory over the past two weeks was downward by 31%.
In terms of daily numbers, 15 of 125 test results received since Wednesday, 12%, were positive for COVID-19. 53 persons recovered, lowering the active case number by 38 to 353. 12,506 county residents have now had COVID-19; 12,031 have recovered, but 122 have died of the disease.
Wisconsin’s total number of confirmed cases rose 1,518 to a total of 546,955. The new cases were 21% of all returns. 41 more deaths were attributed to COVID-19, raising the toll to 5,992. Since Wednesday’s report, 80 persons checked into hospitals for treatment, and after deaths and discharges, the net change in COVID-19 patient population was minus 43 at 594 persons, 160 of those in ICU beds.
In its weekly update on facility-wide investigations, the Sheboygan County Division of Health Services reported that 44 investigations were underway. 9 of those were long-term care facilities, and six of those skilled nursing long-term care facilities were identified as:

- Morningside
- Pine Haven-Haven Drive Campus
- Progressive
- Rocky Knoll Health Care Center
- Sheboygan Health Services
2 group housing facility investigations were underway, 2 healthcare facilities were being investigated, as were 12 workplaces and 14 education settings. 11 of the education facilities were identified as:
- Grant Elementary
- Howards Grove High
- Lake Country Academy
- Northview Elementary
- Oostburg Elementary
- Oostburg High
- Oostburg Middle
- Sheboygan Falls Elementary
- Sheboygan Falls Middle
- Sheboygan Falls High
- Urban Middle School
