SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a man for the possible theft of catalytic converters in the City of Sheboygan. A deputy conducted a traffic stop at Highway 42 and 43 last Friday morning and, during the stop, noticed burglary tools and a freshly cut-off catalytic converter in the vehicle.
Deputies seized the tools and the converter and took the person into custody. He’s been referred to the Sheboygan Police Department, since the City of Sheboygan is where the thefts of catalytic converters had been happening.
Catalytic converters can bring between $50-100 for a car converter, and up to $1,000 for a converter from a pickup truck.
