(WHBL) – The 14th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers were upset on the road by unranked Penn State on Saturday, 81-71. The loss broke the Badgers’ 13-game winning streak over the Nittany Lions.
Penn State trailed by 3 points at halftime, but came out on fire, offensively, in the second half. The Nittany Lions managed to hit nearly 54-percent of their shots in the second half while Wisconsin was committing a season-high 12 turnovers.
Nate Reuvers led the Badgers with 18 points. Aleem Ford added 15, while Tyler Wahl contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Myreon Jones propelled Penn State, scoring 20. Izaiah Brockington contributed 18 points and 9 rebounds, while John Harrar finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds as the Nittany Lions improved to 6-7 overall, 3-6 in the Big Ten.
The loss dropped Wisconsin to 13-5 overall, 7-4 in the Big Ten.
