Norma Brill, 90 of Oostburg passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Pine Haven Christian Communities – Oostburg.
Norma was born on March 16, 1930 to Almond and Ida (Bruggink) Draayers. She graduated from Oostburg High School.
She was united in marriage to Richard Brill on October 17, 1964. Richard preceded her in death on January 20, 2016.
Norma was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg, where she served as elder and Sunday School teacher. She more recently was an active member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg. Norma enjoyed volunteering with her husband for the Christian Reformed Disaster Relief around the country. She was a volunteer with Friendship Club for many years. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, biking, knitting, club with her high school friends, and time spent at her cottage on Lake Michigan.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Judy (Tom) Busalacchi of Elkhorn and Jan (Chris) Jerabek of Cedar Grove; son, Joel (Bridget) Brill of Hingham; six grandchildren, Zach and Hailee Brill, Rachel, Nicole, Laura and Anna Jerabek; brother, Don (Ruth) Draayers; sister-in-law, Ruth (Don) Olson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents; father and mother-in-law, Abram and Anna Brill; sister, Mildred (Donald) Hendrikse; and brother-in-law, LeRoy Brill.
A funeral service to celebrate Norma’s life will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at First Reformed Church in Oostburg at 11:00 am. All are welcome to join via livestream by visiting www.wenig.live/NormaBrill . Burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family from 10:00 am until the time of service.
A memorial fund is being established in Norma’s name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
