COLLEGE PARK, MD (WHBL) – Micah Potter had a double-double to lead the Wisconsin Badgers over Maryland 61-55 on Wednesday night.
Potter had 23 points and 12 rebounds in the victory. D’Mitrick Trice added 13.
The Badgers led by 18 at halftime but a furious Terrapin comeback cut that to three early in the second half. Potter than converted a three point play and hit a three pointer and the Badgers held on.
Aaron Wiggins led Maryland with 18 points. The Terps drop to 9-8 and 3-7 in the conference.
Wisconsin, now 13-4, 7-3 in Big Ten, will travel to Penn State for a matchup Saturday afternoon. Wisconsin will then host Penn State on Tuesday night.
