Joan Marie Lade, age 79, of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly at home early Monday morning,
January 25, 2021.
Joan was born in Sheboygan on February 22, 1941, a daughter of the late LeRoy and Adeline (Scheunert)
Mehlos.
She attended Sheboygan Falls grade schools and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1959.
On September 26, 1959 she married Ronald W. Lade at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls.
The couple resided in Plymouth following their marriage. Ron preceded her in death on May 22, 2016.
Joan was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls and a current member of
St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
She worked at Casey Jones Lanes, A&P Cheese, GTE in Plymouth for 15 years, and seasonal work at
Evergreen Golf Course. Joan earned her real estate license and worked as a realtor for one year, and
also worked at Community Bank and Dairy State Bank (Bank First National) until her retirement.
Joan enjoyed bowling for many years at Casey Jones Lanes and golfing in the Tuesday night Mixed
League at Crystal Lake Golf Course. She loved the game of golf and also enjoyed reading, needlework,
taking pictures, and sharing photos. Joan was a strong supporter of our Native Wisconsin Tribes
upnorth and donated generously. She loved to watch the Packers and Brewers, but most of all she
loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children: Clinton (Darcie) Lade of Plymouth, Martin (Spring) Lade of
Plymouth and Lora Ann Lade (special friend: Joel Mulder) of Plymouth; four grandchildren:
Evangelene, Myles, Gueneviere and Rhiannon.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joan was preceded in death by: Her husband; Parents; Brothers: Marshall and Quinn; and Sister: Carol.
Private family services will be held with Rev. Nathan Meador, Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in
Plymouth officiating.
A public visitation requiring masks and social distancing will be held on Friday (January 29, 2021)
from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
Cremation will take place following the services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Joan’s name.
