Delores Steffen entered eternal life on January 20th, 2021, after a brief period in hospice care at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center. She was born on August 3rd, 1934, in Sheboygan and was a baptized member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She attended Green Bay’s School for the Deaf, and worked at Sheboygan Opportunity Center, Ross Glove and Lakeland Manufacturing. Delores enjoyed the company of people, taking walks, and sharing a smile with the folks she met. Solving jigsaw puzzles gave her endless joy, and she would share her completed projects with her family. Those she loved received blankets she had crocheted by hand, and her grand nieces and nephews fondly remember wrapping up in the afghans she made. Delores loved the opportunity to dine out in the Sheboygan area. The Tulip Festival in Pella, Iowa, was a trip she would never forget, and seeing Mackinac Island with her good friend, Joan, gave her stories to tell.
Delores is lovingly remembered by her niece Marjorie (Todd) Gibson of Fort Collins, CO and their children, Lisa, Maggie, and Stephen; niece Mary (Darren) Lee of Madison, WI and their children Isaac and Maria; brother Howard (Lois) Steffen of Sheboygan Falls, WI and their daughter.
Preceding her in death are her parents Edwin and Nora (Berg) Steffen; brother Myron (Doris) Steffen; sister Marian (Mel) Malzahn.
The family of Delores invites you to celebrate her life at www.reinboldfh.com where a recorded service will be posted on January 31st on her obituary page. Please take a moment to post your memories of Delores.
