William “Willie G.” “Bill” Grunow, age 66, of Glenbeulah, WI, passed away early Tuesday Morning
(January 19, 2021) at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls following a
courageous battle with COPD.
He was born on July 6, 1954 in Plymouth, WI, a son of the late William Grunow and Ione (Hanson) Lucas.
Bill attended Glenbeulah grade school and graduated from Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School in
1972.
On August 23, 1975, he married Mary Rheingans at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The couple
has resided in Glenbeulah since their marriage.
Bill was employed at Knowles Manufacturing in Glenbeulah for 27 years until retiring due to Ill health in
2000.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Glenbeulah.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing (hitting a hole in one in July of 1995), loved everything
about the outdoors and nature and especially cherished spending time with his family and his loving
granddaughter.
Survivors include: His loving wife of 45 years: Mary of Glenbeulah, Three daughters: Sarah Grunow
(James Gardner) of Sheboygan, Michelle Grunow (Fiancé: David Malson) of Plymouth and Cassie (Mike)
Harvey of Plymouth, One granddaughter: Adilynn Malson. Three brothers: Larry (Barb) Grunow of
Sheboygan, Mark Grunow of Plymouth and William “Butch” Lucas of St. Nazianz, One sister: Linda
Grunow of St. Nazianz, His mother-in-law: Doris Beyer of Plymouth, One sister-in-law: Sheri (Ernest)
Nytes of Plymouth and two special friends: Dave Ford and Ralph Zareczny. Bill is also survived by many
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Brother: Dwayne (Sharon) Grunow, Brother-in-law:Larry
(Carrie) Beyer, Father-in-law: Albert Beyer and his loving canine companion: Amanda.
Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held on Friday afternoon
(January 22, 2021) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Donald Johnson, pastor of Zion
Lutheran Church in Glenbeulah, will officiate.
A public visitation requiring masks and social distancing will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home
in Plymouth, Friday (January 22, 2021) from 2:00 -4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bill’s name.
