Thelma Y. “Teddie” Cancellier-Sadock, age 80, of Elkhart Lake, passed away peacefully at her home on
Monday, January 18, 2021.
Teddie was born on February 11, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN, daughter of the late James E. and Gladys
M. Ayres.
On July 27, 1963, she married Michael I. Cancellier in Danville, Il. He preceded her in death on April 2,
1992.
Thelma was employed at and retired from the Brown, Kaplan and Liss Certified Public Accounting Firm,
Evanston, IL
In 2000, she married Bertram “Bert” G. Sadock. The couple lived in Chicago for 5 years before moving
to Elkhart Lake in 2005. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2015.
Teddie loved her dog Nicki, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends, and enjoying
her life with Bert.
Survivors include her sister Hilda Kirby, her son: Mike (Anna) Cancellier and one step son:
Andrew Sadock.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ann Ludington and Nancy Dreher.
A memorial service to celebrate Teddie’s life will be held on Saturday (January 30, 2021) at 11:00 AM
at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas
Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Teddie’s name for Parkinson’s Foundation.
