SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced on Tuesday that residents 65 and older will be eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations when Phase 1B of the effort is implemented on January 25th.
Sheboygan County residents are being advised by the Division of Public Health that they can receive information regarding how to schedule an immunization appointment within Sheboygan County by filling out an interest survey online. The survey – actually a simple form requesting an email address – won’t put you a wait list, but you will receive instructions as soon as they’re available. DPH emphasized that they’re still vaccinating the Phase 1A population while dealing with a limited supply of vaccine, and patience will be needed.
On Tuesday the State DHS noted that with 700,000 residents 65 and older, and with a current supply of 70,000 first-dose vaccines per week from the federal government, it will take “some time” in their words, or at least 10 weeks according to the math, to completely vaccinate this population.
You can access the county survey to receive more information here.
