SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – 59 recoveries overcame the 41 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County, lowering the active case county by 18 to 681, according to Wednesday’s report from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health. The positive test rate was 24.5%. Hospitalizations dropped by 3, to 8 persons. 12,233 persons in Sheboygan County have now fought COVID-19, and 109 have lost that battle.
Wisconsin added 1,522 new cases to a total which now stands at 525,924. The positive test rate was 23%. 50 more deaths were recorded, raising the death toll to 5,562. 119 more persons were hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19, while another 69 patients are awaiting their test results. After accounting for deaths and discharges, the Wisconsin COVID patient population dropped by 31 to 834. 193 of those are in the ICU, and 461 ventilators are in use.
