SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – A group of area farmers has been given a $35,000 grant from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection to help its efforts to protect the quality of the Sheboygan River Watershed.
Sheboygan River Progressive Farmers was the recipient of the grant, part of a larger $750,000 statewide program that aims to improve Wisconsin’s soil and water quality by supporting and advancing producer-led conservation solutions that increase farmer participation in the efforts.
The Sheboygan River Progressive Farmers were among previous recipients of the grant, which is now in its sixth round of awards since its start in 2015.
