SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health on Wednesday attributed another two deaths in Sheboygan County to COVID-19, raising the toll to 98. One of the casualties was in their 60s, and the other was 80 or older. Of the total since the onset of the pandemic, one victim was in the 10-19 age range, two were in their 30s, four in their 40s, five in their 50s, fifteen in their 60s, twenty-three in their 70s, and forty-eight were 80 or older.
48 new positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed here in the last 24 hours, raising that total to 11,969. With 75 persons recovering, the active number of cases dropped 29 to 769. 9 persons…1 less than Tuesday…is hospitalized. 121 negative tests were received, yielding a positive test rate of 28.4%.
513,270 persons in Wisconsin have now come down with COVID-19, as another 2,134 were added – a positive test rate of 28.7%. With 37 deaths added, the state toll is now 5,248. 122 more persons were hospitalized with the disease, and after deaths and discharges were accounted for, the patient population rose 37 to 1,025. 224 of those are in the ICU. Another 73 persons hospitalized are awaiting their test results, and 464 patients in all are on ventilators. There were no occupants of the Alternate Care Facility at State Fair Park in West Allis, however three patients are going there to receive daily antibody infusions.
