
William Thomas Zengler, 93, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Pine
Haven Christian Home.
William was born on April 18, 1927, in Canton, Ohio, son of Urban Robert and Mildred (Wolf)
Zengler. He was a graduate of Kent State University. William served in the US Navy. He was employed
as a personnel manager for the City of Sheboygan for 20 years until his retirement in 1989. William
married Kathryn Waidman in Canton, Ohio. She preceded him in death on April 20, 1967. On June 23,
1973, he married Lora Billard Marshman in Sheboygan.
William was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sheboygan and Trinity Methodist Church
in Bradenton, Florida. He was active in the Wood Carving Club, Jesus & Java, and the Men’s Club.
William enjoyed creating wood carvings, especially of ducks and peace doves, playing cards, winters in
Florida, music, reading, and gardening.
William is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lora; two daughters, Cathy Nack of Sheboygan, Cindy (Hal)
Korman of Rockford, IL, two sons, Michael (Chris) Zengler of Sheboygan Falls, Albert (Ann) Zengler of
Sheboygan, six grandchildren, Chad (Shannon) Zengler, Brian (Lori) Zengler, Kyle Nack, and Michael,
Matthew, and William Korman; two great-grandchildren, Thaden Zengler and Zander Zengler; a step
daughter, Karie (Robert) Hessel of Two Rivers; a stepson, Ron Marshman of Florida; and several nieces
and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother.
A private graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Kathy Reid officiating.
A memorial fund has been established in William’s name for St. Luke United Methodist Church and
Sheboygan Food Pantry.
