(WHBL) – As is the case so often in 2020, Wisconsin’s official Veterans Day celebration is going virtual this year. Secretary Mary Kolar invited the state to participate by viewing a ceremonial video on the department’s website to be released Wednesday. That video features greetings and messages from the Secretary and Governor Evers, and there’s also a virtual “Tribute Wall” that will receive and display messages from leaders of Wisconsin veterans organizations and elected officials.
The public is also being called upon to join the sounding of the “Bells of Peace” at 11AM Wednesday. There’s an app for that on your phone’s app store, and those who pledge to participate through that or on the Bells of Peace website will get a zoom invitation to join a mass ringing online.
