SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Even as the Sheboygan Area School District is completing week-2 of virtual-only classes, testing and contact tracing is turning up cases of the coronavirus, triggering letters and more investigations.
Sheboygan schools went all-virtual last week Tuesday amid significant increases in COVID-19 cases among students and staff. However testing has revealed individuals who may have been spreading the virus before in-person learning was paused.
Someone who was in Central High School on October 16th and again on the 20th tested positive according to a notice sent on Monday, and contact tracing and cleaning and disinfection of the building is underway. And yesterday, North High parents received notice of an individual who tested positive after last visiting North High School on October 16th, and similar response is being conducted.
