(WHBL) – With the 2020 coronavirus pandemic showing no signs of abating locally, finding out if your coughs, headaches and weird tastes are because you have COVID-19 becomes critical. A negative test means life in the new normal continues, but a positive test means self-isolating at home until the disease has passed, and the same goes for anyone with which you’ve had close contact. That testing is being done for free by the Wisconsin National Guard each Wednesday and Friday now through December 9th at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth.
The twice-weekly testing began last week and, so far, the Guard reports over 600 specimens taken. With each session limited to 300 persons, it’s a good idea to pre-register, though it’s not required. You don’t need doctor’s orders, but only those either exhibiting symptoms or having close contact with a known positive should be tested. The next session is Wednesday from 10 AM until 6 PM.
