WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One person is dead and another arrested after a shooting in Waupaca Monday night.
Police say they were notified of the shooting around 10:20 p.m. When they arrived on scene, they found an 18-year-old man lying in a road with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Another male was arrested at the scene.
Police have not released any more details — including the names of the victim or the suspect. They do say, however, that the public is not in danger.
Prosecutors say the suspect is not expected in court Tuesday.
