SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Prescription drugs that are no longer needed can be a danger to people and, if they’re not properly disposed of, a danger to the environment as well. On Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM, Healthy Sheboygan County 2020 along with the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the Drug Enforcement Administration will hold a Prescription Drug Take Back Day at three locations in the county: Generations in Plymouth, the Random Lake Fire Department and at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
The event will be a drive-thru drop-off – no need to leave your vehicle – and you’re asked to wear a mask as a volunteer will come to your vehicle to collect the meds. Any household prescription and over-the-counter medications -even pet medications – are acceptable, but illegal drugs are not.
Also, those using St. Nicholas are asked to enter from Taylor Drive and follow the arrows as the usual Superior Avenue entrance is still under construction.
