SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) – Every school in the Sheboygan Area School District will make the switch to online learning next Tuesday. A press release to staff after Tuesday evening’s board meeting confirmed Friday the 16th will be the last day in classrooms for the next few weeks. Next Monday will be a non-school day for all students, and virtual learning kicks off Tuesday the 20th.
The district says the decision was made after consulting with the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, as the community has seen an uptick in positive COVID-19 cases in recent weeks. Parents all received an email from the district with information about student learning and access to support that families may need for the next few weeks.
The district says their anticipated return date to in-person learning in the hybrid model is November 2nd. Superintendent Seth Harvatine says if that date changes, they’ll be notifying the community.
