LOS ANGELES, CA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers’ season is over. Clayton Kershaw struck out 13 batters as the Dodgers shut out the Brewers 3-0 in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Milwaukee was swept in the wild card series, 2 games to none, and eliminated from the playoffs.
Brandon Woodruff gave up all three runs over four-and-two-thirds to take the loss. Woodruff was ejected after he shouted expletives at home plate umpire Quinn Wolcott as he was walking off the mound.
The Brewers have lost four straight postseason games. Ironically, their last playoff win was against the Dodgers in Game 6 of the 2018 NL Championship Series. But the Brewers dropped game 7 that year and haven’t won a postseason game since.
