SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – COVID-19 continues to affect schools in the Sheboygan Area District. On Wednesday it was announced by the Sheboygan Area School District and the County Division of Public Health that the disease had been detected in someone connected with Warriner Middle School, one of the district’s charter schools.
The County DPH conducted contact tracing and discovered no close contacts with the person. Cleaning and disinfection of the affected areas was being completed at the time and no change to the learning model was made.
The finding of COVID-19 at Sheboygan South High, reported this past Tuesday, was clarified yesterday by district officials. The person testing positive was last in the building on September 17th, and contact tracing is still underway by County DPH to locate anyone who may need to quarantine as a result of close contact.
