CINCINNATI, OH (WHBL) – Adrian Houser gave up four runs on two homers over four-and-a-third innings as the Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Reds 6-1 in Cincinnati on Wednesday night. The loss dropped Houser to 1-6 on the season.
Orlando Arcia drove in the lone run on a double for Milwaukee, which has lost two-of-three to drop to 27-28 and a game back in the wildcard standings for the final slot.
Trevor Bauer got the win for the Reds, striking out 12 over eight innings. Bauer improved to 5-4 with the victory, as Cincinnati took 2 of 3 in the series.
The Brewers begin their final regular season series Thursday night at St. Louis. With a doubleheader scheduled for Friday, the two teams will play 5 games in 4 days.
