SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Three Sheboygan Area District schools have now reported cases of COVID-19. The latest was announced Monday in a message to families from Longfellow Elementary. The school reports that the individual was in the building for a short amount of time on Tuesday, September 8th, and followed all mitigation procedures. Work with the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health determined that there were no identified close contacts, and cleaning and disinfecting of the affected classrooms was completed so there’s no change in schedule or learning module.
South High parents were sent a letter last Friday relating a nearly identical incident, with no close contact and no changes as a result.
North High reported the first case of COVID-19 in the Sheboygan Area School District on Tuesday, September 8th.
Last Thursday, the County DPH reported that investigations were also underway at Parkview Elementary School in Plymouth, and Bethlehem Lutheran School in Sheboygan as well as at Lakeland University.
