Laura L. Diver, age 93, of Plymouth, passed away on Sunday (August 30, 2020) at Sharon S. Richardson
Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
She was born in Plainfield, WI on September 16, 1926, a daughter of the late Leonard and Marie
(Rehlich) Freigang. Laura attended the Campbell Corner School, a one room schoolhouse in Plainfield
and graduated from Plainfield High School in 1944.
Laura met Donald when she was 13 years old. They were Prom King and Queen of Plainfield High School
in 1942 and were together for 80 years. Even though Don went off to join the Navy, their love for each
other did not falter. On August 26, 1946, they were married in the dining room at her parent’s
farmhouse in Plainfield and recently celebrated their 74 th wedding anniversary.
She worked as a secretary in Milwaukee, and later as a receptionist at Morning Side Nursing Home and
the Plymouth Clinic, both in Plymouth, WI retiring in 1987.
Laura was a member of the Plymouth American Legion Auxiliary Post 243 and a member of Salem U.C.C.
in Plymouth.
She loved canning and made her famous, delicious dill pickles. She also was a talented painter who has
gifted her family with many of her works, Don would build items and Laura would paint them.
Survivors include: Husband: Donald; Daughters: Sally Treviranus of Fond du Lac and Diane (Richard)
Zinkgraf of Plymouth; Grandchildren: Michael (Katey) Harder of Centerton, AR, Tony (Kelli) Treviranus of
Prescott, AZ, Steve (Angela) Harder of Del Mar, CA, William (Terri) Treviranus of San Diego, CA, Jeffery
Zinkgraf of Fond du Lac, Karole Fox of Oshkosh, and Leah Zinkgraf of Plymouth.
She is further survived by: 12 Great grandchildren; 1 Great-great grandchild; Sisters: Elsie Zwalina of
Gillett, WI and Dorothy Rothermel of Plainfield, WI; Sister-in-law: Winifred Freigang of Milwaukee, WI;
as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Laura was preceded in death by: Her parents; Father and Mother-in-law: Royal and Cora Diver; Son-in-
law: William Treviranus; Brother: Albert Freigang; Grandson-in-law: Michael Fox; and Niece: Mary Jo
Patterson.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Laura’s name for Sharon S. Richardson Community
Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
