UNDATED (WHBL) – Alliant Energy is temporarily suspending disconnections for its customers during the ongoing public health emergency. In addition, the utility is also working with partners and organizations to find a way to waive late fees in Wisconsin for those suffering financial hardship. The temporary suspensions were enacted to alleviate customer concerns about continued access to utility service according to company Chairman, President and CEO John Larsen.
He said the company has also donated $100,000 to help non-profits and assist with rising community needs. For those already behind in payments, Alliant is encouraging them to set up payment plans based on their ability to pay.
