CASCADE, WI (WHBL) – Quality Cut Meats in Cascade is issuing a voluntary recall for bacon products. The product of concern is Door Karma Farm uncured pepper bacon, one-pound packages sold at Door Karma Farm Store in Bailey’s Harbor in Door County.
The USDA calls this a “Class II Recall,” meaning this is a health hazard situation where there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from the use of the product. A routine inspection yielded evidence showing that the bacon was produced without the benefit of inspection by state officials as required by law for meat products. No illnesses have been reported.
