MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL-WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers won their opening game on Thursday against the Minnesota Twins in comeback style. They took advantage of some Minnesota errors and scored three runs in the 9th inning to tie the game at 5 and then won it, walk-off style in the 10th by a final score of 6-5.
Lorenzo Cain scored the game winner from 3rd base on an infield chopper from Orlando Arcia. The Brewers had tied it in the 9th on a two out, two run double from Travis Shaw. Shaw had three RBI’s on the day. Omar Narvaez and Christian Yelich had the other RBI’s.
Josh Hader picked up the win by striking out the side in the 10th inning.
